- Biography:
- Dr. Mayank Trivedi, joined as University Librarian, Smt. Hansa Mehta Library, The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara on 17th September 2010. Prior to his present assignment, Dr. Trivedi has worked as the University Librarian cum Publication Officer at Bhaikaka Library – Knowledge Resource Centre, Sardar Patel University, Vallabh Vidyanagar from February 2008 to September 2010. He has also developed the web portal of Bhaikaka Library. He was working as Chief Librarian at Pramukh Swami Medical College, Charutar Arogya Mandal, Karamsad for about two years. He was also Librarian at C. U. Shah Medical College, Surendranagar, where he had been instrumental in developing a new Medical Library from grass root level as per the MCI guidelines. He was In-charge Librarian and Assistant Librarian at M. P. Shah Medical College and Government Dental College and Hospital, Jamnagar (1990-2001). He had started his career from Cadila Labs Ltd., Ahmedabad as an Information Scientist (1986-1990). Dr. Trivedi was attended more than 10 National/ International Conferences. Dr. Trivedi has more than 10 research articles on his credit that were published in learned research journals. Dr. Trivedi has organized several workshops, user awareness and one IRTPLA Training Programme for SOUL 2.0 with the help from INFLIBNET. Dr. Trivedi is a visiting faculty at various Universities of Gujarat State. He is associated with PAC Committee at BAOU, Ahmedabad for BLIS and MLIS courses. He has delivered talk as resource person for several training programmes, orientation programmes, refresher courses and workshops. Five research scholars are persuing Ph.D. under his guidance. His work has been published by Sardar Patel University in a book form (2010).
