Alex Mwine Mukono is a Ugandan law enforcement officer and peace building practitioner with a multifaceted career spanning policing, academic research. He holds a Diploma in Business Studies from Makerere University Business School (2000) and a Bachelor's degree in Guidance and Counselling from Kyambogo University (2005). He furthered his education with a Master's degree in Peace and Conflict Studies from Makerere University, completed in 2022. His master's research focused on youth involvement in peace building processes in Wakiso Town Council, highlighting the challenges and strategies for enhancing youth participation in peace initiatives . He is currently the head of monitoring and evaluation training in the Directorate of Human Resource Development in Uganda Police Force .he has served in various roles as the District Police Commander (DPC) in various districts, including Bundibugyo, Luuka, Mityana and Hoima, Regional Human Resource officer Kiira region, O.c Station Jinja Road, platoon commander 999 -Emergency Response Unit and Community Liaison Officer for Mobile Police Patrol Unit. outside police he has worked with Action Africa Help International, Straight Talk Foundation and is a founding member for Action for Youth Development Uganda where his tenure has been marked by both commendable service .
