- Chemical Engineer, MSc-Physics, she received her Ph,.D in Chemical Engineering at the National University of Colombia Manizales Campus. She is an Associate Researcher according to the most recent classification of the Colombian Ministry of Science and Technology (Minciencias). She is a full member of the Organization of Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD, UNESCO program) and Vice Chair of Colombian Chapter of the same organization. Also, she is a full member of the Colombian Network of Women Scientists (RCMC). Her research interests are directed to science diplomacy, synthesis, characterization and application of nanomaterials, the integration of basic science to the study of biorefineries as one of the supports of the bioeconomy. Ingeniera Química, MSc-Física, recibió su título de doctorado en Ingeniería Química en la Universidad Nacional de Colombia Sede Manizales, es Investigadora Asociada según la clasificación más reciente del Ministerio de Ciencia y Tecnología de Colombia ( Minciencias). Miembro titular de la Organización de las Mujeres en Ciencia para el mundo en desarrollo (OWSD, programa de Unesco) y Vicepresidente del capítulo Colombia de la misma organización, tambien es Miembro titular de la Red Colombiana de Mujeres Científicas. Sus intereses de investigación están dirigidos a la la diplomacia científica, síntesis, caracterización y aplicación de nanomateriales, la integración de la ciencia básica al estudio de biorrefinerías como uno de los soportes de la bioeconomía.
