Biography:
Dr. Majiyd Hamis Suru is a Lecturer in the Department of Educational Management and Policy Studies of the University of Dodoma. Dr. Majiyd holds a Ph.D. in Education (The University of Dodoma, 2015), a Master of Educational Management and Administration (University of Dar Es Salaam, 2007) and a BSc with Education (SUMAIT University, formerly the University College of Education Zanzibar- a Constituent of International University of Africa, 2004). Dr. Majiyd has taught at the University of Dodoma for thirteen years since 2007. Previously, he worked as a Tutorial Assistant in the Department of Planning and Administration of the University of Dar Es Salaam. In addition, being a teacher by training, Dr. Majiyd taught Biology and Chemistry subjects at Ordinary Level Secondary Schools from 1998 to 2001 and Advanced Level Secondary Schools from 2004 to 2005. Dr. Majiyd's field of research includes but is not limited to Service Quality in Higher Education, Economics of Education, Equity and Participation of Disadvantaged groups, Education and School Improvement, Educational Planning, Policy Analysis in Education, Educational Management and Total Quality Management in Education.
