Biography:
I am a dedicated public health professional with a diverse background in academia, research, and administration. I am holding a Ph.D. in Public Health with a focus on Epidemiology and Non-communicable Diseases from Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences, India, along with a Master's in Public Health (MPH) with a specialization in Health Service Management and Epidemiology. Currently serving as a Professor and MPH Programme Head at the School of Public Health, Chitwan Medical College and Teaching Hospital affiliated to Tribhuwan University, Nepal, I am providing strategic leadership to the MPH program. With a career spanning nearly two decades, I hold various academic and administrative positions, including Associate Professor, Head of Department, and Program Coordinator in Nepal and abroad. My expertise encompasses a wide range of skills, including organizational management, research supervision, statistical analysis, technology integration, and effective communication. I have authored substantial numbers of research articles published in esteemed peer-reviewed journals, addressing critical public health issues such as Noncommunicable diseases, adolescent health, women’s’ health, tropical diseases and digital health. My commitment to advancing public health extends beyond academia, demonstrated by his active involvement as team leader in many National level community-based projects and workshops aimed at enhancing public health advocacies and awareness. My contributions have been recognized through grants, awards, peer reviewing and editorial roles in prestigious PubMed indexed journals like PLOS ONE and BMC Public Health. Passionate about knowledge dissemination, I have been frequently participating in conferences and seminars along with engages as columnist in many National English daily newspapers like TheKathmandupost, Rising Nepal, and others sharing my insights on topics such as cervical cancer prevention and environmental pollution, risk factors of non-communicable diseases etc. Fluent in English, Nepali, and Hindi, I am a respected figure in the field, known for my dedication to improving population health and well-being.
