Biography:
Dr. Md Ekram Hossain is currently affiliated with the School of Business (HHBS) at Hohai University as a Research Faculty (Lecturer) and as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institute of Industrial Economics (IIE) of Hohai University, Nanjing, China; since 2017. He worked as a Research Associate (2013-2017) and a Research Assistant (2010-2013) at the Institute of Industrial Economics of Hohai University where he actively participated in eight research projects of China's national and provincial levels. However, Dr. Ekram obtained Ph.D. in Technology Economics and Management from Hohai University, China. He is an elated alumnus of China Scholarship Council having his Master's Degree with the prestigious Chinese Government Scholarship and pursued his Ph.D. with full funding of Hohai University. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from the National University of Bangladesh. Since 2010, Dr. Ekram has been engaged in multidisciplinary research and till now he has published 15+ publications in peer-reviewed international journals and conference proceedings. His current ‘h-index’ is 1 and ‘citations’ are 28+ in Google Scholar. According to the Research Gate his ‘RG Score’ is 3.70+. According to Academia, he is included among the ‘top 2%’ popular academicians worldwide in his area, where the total views of his publications are 27,000+. His research areas include international trade, sustainable development, regional integration, industry competitiveness analysis, strategic management, issues of emerging and developing economies, etc. Till 2019 he has presented his researches and attended at 30+ international conferences, training and workshops arranged by prestigious institutions in the world e.g. Peking University, Beijing, China; Tsinghua University, Beijing, China; Shanghai Jiaotong University, Shanghai, China; Hohai University, Nanjing, China; Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, Shanghai, China; Columbia University, NY, USA; MIT Sloan School of Management, MA, USA; Harvard University, MA, USA; Kyushu University, Fukuoka, Japan and many more. To be mentioned, in September 2015 he was invited by the UNSDSN (United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network) as a young researcher of SDG (Sustainable Development Goals) where the world leaders, key officials and stakeholders of UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development e.g. Professor Jeffrey D. Sachs of Columbia University; Jan Eliasson, Deputy Secretary-General of United Nations; Ms. Amina J. Mohammed,the Special Adviser to UN Secretary-General; Irina Bokova, Director-General of UNESCO; Madam Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, President of Liberia; Paul Kagame, President of Rwanda; Peter Bakker, President of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) and many more world leaders presented their researches and speeches in the eve of 2030 SDG implementation. At that time his research article was published in the International Conference on Sustainable Development (ICSD) Moreover, in November 2015 Dr. Ekram also attended a week-long training program in United Nations Headquarter arranged by the WFUNA (World Federation of Model United Nations). During his academic life, Dr. Ekram was awarded several awards, scholarship, and recognition for his excellent performances in academic achievements, social, volunteer and cultural activities. People around him remark that Dr. Ekram is a hardworking, humble, proactive, innovative, very positive and visionary person. In the era of the globalized world, he keeps and practices the ethics of a global citizen and he would like to learn and work up to the last breath of his life to serve humanity.
