- My research group is dedicated to advancing biomedical research and public health in resource-limited settings. As a lecturer and researcher at Jamhuriya University of Science and Technology, I lead projects on infectious diseases, antimicrobial resistance (AMR), cancer prevention, environmental health, and climate-related challenges. We leverage AI and mobile health technologies to identify individuals at risk of cancer and link them to screening services. Our work also focuses on improving water quality, detecting resistant bacterial genomes, and strengthening pandemic preparedness for viral outbreaks. Through data-driven, community-focused approaches, we aim to address critical public health priorities in Somalia.
