- Biography:
- Dr. Pascal Lupien is a political scientist at Brock University in Ontario, Canada. Lupien’s research interests revolve around civil society, political participation and democratic innovation, social development and human (in)security, and the factors that enhance or diminish the capacity of marginalized groups to influence politics. His work has been published in journals such as Democratization, Citizenship Studies and Political Science Quarterly. Lupien’s previous research examined the behaviour of Indigenous social movements in Bolivia and Ecuador, including the development of transnational alliances between Indigenous groups in the region and actors further afield.
