Biography:
Olusola Oyero is a Professor of Communication and Media Studies, and Dean, Faculty of Humanities, Social and Management Sciences, Anchor University, Lagos. He was a former Head of Department of Mass Communication, Covenant University, Ota, Nigeria. He holds a doctorate degree in Mass Communication. He was a post-doctoral fellowship of North West University, South Africa and a recipient of ABSA-Rhodes Journalism award and Scholar of African Council for Communication Education (SACCE). He is also a member of Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR). He has participated and presented papers in various conferences across Africa, Asia and Europe. He has published several articles in international and local journals, co-edited three books and has several book chapters to his credit. He has also been a resource person at leadership academy and a speaker at many fora on leadership and youth development. Professor Oyero teaches media theories, research, broadcasting and development communication among others. His research interests include child rights and the media, media and democratic governance.
