- Biography:
- Djidjooh Mathieu Maurice Ahouansou was born on 22 September 1984 at Porto-Novo, Republic of Benin. He finished his High School at “Lycée Béhanzin” in 2002, Porto-Novo, where he obtained his baccalaureate in Biology, mathematics and physics. He entered the University of Abomey-Calavi where he studied Physics and chemistry at the Faculty of Sciences and Techniques (2002-2003). From October 2003 he entered the Faculty of Agronomic Sciences and obtained a degree of Agronomist Engineer with specialisation in Natural Resources Management (Forestry; Fishing and aquaculture; Ecology of aquatic ecosystems and Water) in December 2008. From 2009 till 2010, he had pursued two postgraduate programmes at the same university and obtained the degrees of Master II in Geosciences of environment & sustainable development and “Diplôme d’Etude Approfondie” (DEA) in Natural Resources Management at the Faculty of Agronomic Sciences. Since 2009 till now, he is working at the Laboratory of Hydraulic and Water Management of the the Faculty of Agronomic Sciences, University of Abomey-Calavi as a Associate research . He has experience in ecohydrological modelling, GIS and remote sensing, irrigation, wetland, water resource management. He was admitted as a PhD student in the Graduate Programme Climate Change and Land Use of West African Science Service Centre on Climate Change and Adapted Land Use (WASCAL) at the Civil Engineering Department of Kwame Nkhruma University of Science and Technology, Ghana in 2012. Djidjooh Mathieu Maurice Ahouansou is married and father of four Kids.
