- Biography:
- My research is at the interface of agricultural sustainability and utilization and conservation of plant resources in agroecosystems. I am particularly interested in how agrobiodiversity and knowledge that local people share on it can be used to design agroecological farming systems, to address food and nutritional security and to improve smallholders’ livelihoods in semi-arid regions of sub-Saharan Africa. I use field observations and experimentations, ethnobotanical as well as psychometric methods to study plant-human interactions so as to design sustainable farming systems.
