This handout from a 1-hour presentation for graduate students presents 50 tips for writing and publishing scientific papers. In addition to reading this handout, AuthorAID community members are welcome to use it in presentations and discussions.

Many of us have difficulty starting to write. This presentation identifies some causes of this difficulty and provides some suggestions for overcoming it.

Here, for use in giving similar workshops, is the plan from a research-communication workshop consisting of 2 full-day sessions 1 week apart. It includes the schedules for the 2 days and the homework assignment for between the 2 sessions. For the main presentations, PowerPoint presentations available in several languages in the AuthorAID Resource Library can be used. At appropriate times in the workshop, participants should analyze and discuss respective sections of papers they brought.
