Guidance on the following topics: (1) writing review articles; (2) writing letters to the editor, editorials, and book reviews; (3) supervising the writing of a thesis or dissertation, (4) writing recommendation letters for study in the United States; and (5) mentoring others in their writing.

Basic ethical issues in writing for and editing journals. Main topics: authenticity and accuracy, originality, credit, ethical treatment of humans and animals, and conflict of interest. Also introduces resources.

Advice on providing thorough, helpful peer reviews. Includes general suggestions and section-by-section advice for reviewing papers. Also discusses reviewing proposals and providing informal peer review.

__utmc (risingscholars.net)	Not used in ga.js. Set for interoperability with urchin.js. Historically, this cookie operated in conjunction with the __utmb cookie to determine whether the user was in a new session/visit. Default Expiration Time is End of browser session
__utmb (risingscholars.net)	Used to determine new sessions/visits. The cookie is created when the javascript library executes and no existing __utmb cookies exists. The cookie is updated every time data is sent to Google Analytics. Default Expiration Time is 30 mins from set/update
__utmt (risingscholars.net)	Used to throttle request rate. Default Expiration Time is 10 minutes
__utma (risingscholars.net)	Used to distinguish users and sessions. The cookie is created when the javascript library executes and no existing __utma cookies exists. The cookie is updated every time data is sent to Google Analytics. Default Expiration Time is 2 years from set/update
