A comprehensive OpenCourseWare (OCW) portal featuring courses from leading universities in an array of topics

A journal article with comments written on it about aspects of the writing. This article, which reports research on bees, is from the journal PLOS ONE. The comments were prepared by Michelle Yeoman as part of her graduate course work in science editing.

csrftoken (risingscholars.net)	Used to detect and block Cross Site Request Forgery attacks on web forms.
cookie_consent (risingscholars.net)	Used to store cookie consent preferences across site visits.

__utmv (risingscholars.net)	Used to store visitor-level custom variable data. This cookie is created when a developer uses the _setCustomVar method with a visitor level custom variable. This cookie was also used for the deprecated _setVar method. The cookie is updated every time data is sent to Google Analytics._ Default Expiration Time is 2 years from set/update
__utmz (risingscholars.net)	Stores the traffic source or campaign that explains how the user reached your site. The cookie is created when the javascript library executes and is updated every time data is sent to Google Analytics. Default Expiration Time is 6 months from set/update
__utmc (risingscholars.net)	Not used in ga.js. Set for interoperability with urchin.js. Historically, this cookie operated in conjunction with the __utmb cookie to determine whether the user was in a new session/visit. Default Expiration Time is End of browser session
__utmb (risingscholars.net)	Used to determine new sessions/visits. The cookie is created when the javascript library executes and no existing __utmb cookies exists. The cookie is updated every time data is sent to Google Analytics. Default Expiration Time is 30 mins from set/update
__utmt (risingscholars.net)	Used to throttle request rate. Default Expiration Time is 10 minutes
__utma (risingscholars.net)	Used to distinguish users and sessions. The cookie is created when the javascript library executes and no existing __utma cookies exists. The cookie is updated every time data is sent to Google Analytics. Default Expiration Time is 2 years from set/update
_ga (risingscholars.net)	Used to distinguish users.
