Spanish Translations: “Best of the Blog” (Traducciones al Español: “Lo Mejor del Blog”)

Greetings again. I hope you’re doing well.

As the AuthorAID deadline approached for the grant to attend the intensive course, many more applications arrived. Now the selection committee is starting its work. As noted, the committee is likely to have a difficult decision.

Applicants will be told the outcome within 2 months, as stated in the application instructions. Every applicant deserves praise, I believe, for taking the initiative to apply.

Something special has just been added to the AuthorAID Resource Library. Nicknamed “best of the blog”, it contains Spanish translations of more than 40 AuthorAID blog posts.

The translations are by graduate student Alejandra E. Arreola Triana. Alejandra (“Alex”) translated the posts that she thought would interest readers the most. Some posts are from as early as 2008; others are quite recent. Thanks so much, Alex!

Recently, Chinese translations of many AuthorAID blog posts also have been added to the AuthorAID Resource Library. More of these Chinese translations will appear soon. And now we have a large set of Spanish translations.

I hope some AuthorAID blog posts also will be translated into other languages. Maybe some of you already have translated some blog posts so your colleagues or students can read them more easily.

Conforme se acercaba la fecha límite, llegaron muchas más solicitudes para obtener la beca para el curso intensivo de AuthorAID. Ahora, el comité de selección esta comenzando a trabajar. Como comenté anteriormente, el comité enfrenta una decisión difícil.

Los interesados serán notificados del resultado en dos meses, tal como se explica en las instrucciones de la solicitud. Todos los solicitantes deben merecen una felicitación, creo, por tener la iniciativa de enviar sus solicitudes.
