INASP announces gender workshop and travel grant recipients

INASP announces the 16 recipients of the gender workshop and travel grants. Eight workshop grant recipients will receive an award of up to £4,000 to conduct workshops focused on gender themes. The other eight travel grant recipients will receive an award of up to £1,500 to attend conferences on the topic of gender or to participate in training on gender issues. These successful travel grant recipients are travelling to Canada, Germany, Poland, Netherlands, South Africa and Senegal to attend training and conferences.

The workshop grant recipients are:

  1. Mugonza Robert, Lecturer and Stem Coordinator, Mbarara University of Science and Technology, Uganda.

  2. Humayun Shuja, Director, Entrepreneurship Development, Preston University, Pakistan.

  3. Olajumoke Adeyeye, Junior Research Fellow, Centre for Gender and Social Policy Studies, Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria.

  4. Dr. Pauline Ngimwa, Programme Coordinator, Higher Education, Partnership for African Social and Governance Research, Kenya.

  5. Alinoor Issack Ali, Director of Quality Assurance, Garowe Teacher Education College, Somalia.

  6. Wulystan Pius Mtega, Senior Librarian, Sokoine University of Agriculture, Tanzania.

  7. Dr. Rogers Bariyo, Head of Research and Consultancy, Uganda Martyrs University Nyamitanga Campus, Uganda.

  8. Hussein Yunus Alhassan, Chief Executive Officer, Kayaba Management Foundation, Ghana.

     

The travel grant recipients are:

  1. Saida Hassan Saleem Bani Owda, Independent Researcher and Women's Community Mobilizer, Palestine.

  2. Daniel Odhiambo Mbakaya, Deputy Principal, Administration, St Mary's School of Clinical Medicine, Kenya.

  3. Charles Mutiso Mutungi, Academic Model Providing Access to Health Care and Treatment (Ampath)/ MoI University, Kenya.

  4. Tanankem Voufo Belmondo, Research Officer at the Economic Policy Unit, Ministry of Economy, Planning and Regional Development, Cameroon.

  5. Angie Abdel Zaher, Assistant Professor, American University in Cairo, Egypt.

  6. Amanda Odoi, Principal Research Assistant, Centre for Gender Research, Advocacy and Documentation (CEGRAD), College of Humanities and Legal Studies, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Cape Coast, Ghana.

  7. Olive Akpebu Adjah, Senior Librarian, Institute of African Studies, University Of Ghana, Ghana.

  8. Kingsley Nnanna Ukwaja, Senior Resident Physician, Federal Teaching Hospital Abakaliki, Nigeria.
