Eight AuthorAID Workshop Grants Awarded
On behalf of AuthorAID, I am pleased to announce the newest recipients of AuthorAID workshop grants. In total, 8 workshop grants were awarded. Of them, 6 are for giving workshops on research writing, and 2 are for workshops on grant-proposal writing.
The recipients of grants for research-writing workshops are as follows:
- Cynthia Silvana Cisneros Fajardo, Center for Social Research CIS–Vice Presidency of Plurinational State, Bolivia
- Berhane Megerssa Ereso, Jimma University, Ethiopia
- Ha Thanh Lan, Institute of Water Resources Planning, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Vietnam
- Habtamu Taddele Menghistu, Mekelle University, Ethiopia
- Albert Getabu Mochache, Kisii University, Kenya

Grants for proposal-writing workshops were awarded to
- Paul Moundipa, University of Yaounde I, Cameroon
- Dao Trong Tu, Centre for Sustainable Water Resources Development and Adaptation to Climate Change, Vietnam
The workshops will take place over the next few months. They will have a variety of formats and facilitators, and most will serve researchers from multiple institutions. We hope that the grant recipients or others will write guest posts about the workshops.
The 8 recipients constitute the largest group yet to receive AuthorAID workshop grants. Many good applications arrived, and the selection committee faced difficult choices. We thank all who took the initiative to apply, and we congratulate the recipients.
AuthorAID plans to offer another set of workshop grants later this year. The call for applications will go out this summer. If you might like to apply, please watch the AuthorAID website and AuthorAID discussion list for the announcement.
Until the next post—
Barbara
