Resource of the Week #207: Resource of the Week Posts #1–#206

By Barbara Gastel | Mar. 28, 2015

Hello again. This week’s resource consists of the previous Resource of the Week posts. Let me say why.

Nearly 4 years ago, the first Resource of the Week post appeared. Every week since then, a “resource post” has featured one or more resources in research communication or a related realm.

Much has changed since then. For example, the number of people registered on the AuthorAID website has grown from about 3,000 to about 10,000. And people in developing countries have been playing larger roles in AuthorAID-associated activities.

Similarly, my role at AuthorAID has been evolving. When AuthorAID began in 2007, I was one of few people involved. Now that more people are active in AuthorAID, my role is declining, as planned.

Recently the AuthorAID leadership decided that I would no longer prepare Resource of the Week. It said it hopes to seek one or more new resource-post contributors soon.

I still will provide a general weekly blog post, as I long have done. Sometimes these posts may feature resources. Also, everyone can mention resources in the AuthorAID email discussion list.

I have enjoyed providing Resource of the Week. I hope that you have found it useful—and that the 200-plus existing posts will be a continuing resource.

My best to all—

Barbara
