Resource of the Week #178: Wiley Exchanges
Hello again. When 2 people have the same idea at the same time, we sometimes use the English-language expression “Great minds think alike.” The end of last month, 2 minds at AuthorAID were thinking alike. Here’s the story.
In a newsletter from the publisher Wiley, I learned of a website called Wiley Exchanges. I made a note to consider making it a Resource of the Week.
The next day, Julie Walker at INASP sent me email suggesting that we feature Wiley Exchanges as a Resource of the Week. What a coincidence! I’ve now looked at this resource more, and I’m pleased to feature it.
A part of Wiley Exchanges that might especially interest AuthorAID members is the Exchanges Blog. Some titles of recent posts in this blog are the following:
- How to write a grant application
- How to promote your research through blogging
- How to become a master presenter
- Seven things to consider when preparing your book proposal
- How to judge the news value of your paper
Wiley Exchanges also has a part on publishing ethics. It includes a link to the new edition of Wiley’s publishing-ethics guidelines.
I’m glad that Julie and I both became aware of this resource. I hope that you find it valuable too.
Until next post—
Barbara
