Resource of the Week #163: The Terra Viva Grants Directory

By Barbara Gastel | May. 24, 2014

[This post is by AuthorAID team member Bernard Appiah. Thank you, Bernard! —Barbara]

AuthorAID has been informing members of grant opportunities mainly through its website and  email discussion list. This week’s resource, the Terra Viva Grants Directory, can help one learn of further grant opportunities.

This resource focuses on grants for the developing world. It has information on grants in the following fields:

The site summarizes grant opportunities and has links to the original information.

Although the opportunities are termed grants, some are actually scholarships for master’s and doctoral studies.

One can search for grants by deadline (such as a particular month) or by geographic region (for example, Sub-Saharan Africa).

An excellent way to stay on top of the directory’s grants is to subscribe to a monthly update through a third party called FeedBlitz (http://www.feedblitz.com/f/?Sub=783556). There is no charge.

When subscribing, one can choose how to receive the grant information (for example, email or Facebook wall posts).

I encourage you to explore this directory periodically.
