Two Receive AuthorAID Workshop Grants (Part 1 of 2)
We are pleased to announce the newest recipients of AuthorAID workshop grants. They are Dr. David Oscar Yawson, from Ghana, and Dr. Muhammad Farooq Rathore, from Pakistan.
This post will introduce Dr. Yawson and describe his workshop plans. The next post will be about Dr. Rathore and his plans.
Dr. Yawson is a senior lecturer at the University of Cape Coast. His areas of specialty are environment, agricultural resources, food, and human resilience. He plans to give a workshop titled “Strategies, Tools, and Techniques for Communicating Research to Different Audiences”.
This workshop, which will last 3 days, will serve about 35 participants from 10 institutions. The main topics will be (1) academic publishing, (2) poster design and oral presentation, and (3) engaging non-experts (policy-makers, end-users, the media, and the general public).
Dr. Yawson’s workshop will be for early-career academics. A mix of social and natural science researchers will attend.
