Resource of the Week #149: For Finding Funding Sources
Hello again. This week’s resource is Newton’s List, “a tool for funders and grantseekers interested in collaborative international research and education”. Funders can post opportunities on this website, and researchers can use it to search for funding.
Newton’s List, which was established last year, is co-sponsored by CRDF Global and the US National Science Foundation. It focuses on opportunities in the natural sciences, engineering and technology, agricultural sciences, and social sciences.
This resource includes a section where funders can post opportunities. It also has a section where researchers can search for funding opportunities. One can sign up for an RSS feed to be informed when new opportunities are posted.
The site also has a section on funding organizations. Many funding organizations, in a variety of countries, are included. The funding organizations’ logos are shown, making this part of the website colorful and attractive.
More important, information is provided on the funding organizations. This information typically includes the Web address of the funding organization, contact information for the organization, and a brief description of what the organization does.
Newton’s List might be useful to many members of the AuthorAID community. I encourage you to look at it or mention it to others.
Until the next post—
Barbara
