The AuthorAID Blog: Looking Back and Looking Ahead
Greetings again. I hope you’re doing well.
This post is our last one of 2013. A good time to look back at the AuthorAID blog—and to look ahead!
This year we’ve had about 180 posts, including quite a few guest posts. Almost every post has appeared in English and Spanish. I thank Bernard Appiah for providing the Tip of the Week posts, AuthorAID members worldwide for supplying guest posts, and Alex Arreola for translating posts. I also thank everyone who posted comments.
If you’re new to AuthorAID, or if you missed some posts, now might be a good time to look back at some posts from the past year. Posts from 2013 that might be of wide interest include the following:
- Avoiding Common Problems in Grant Application
- Resource of the Week #98: “Online Tools for Researchers”
- Resource of the Week #103: An Aid for Identifying Questionable Journals
- Resource of the Week #132: “Presentation Tips for Non-Native Speakers”
- The AuthorAID Website Is Changing!
Posts going back to 2008 are available in the News section of the AuthorAID blog.
Looking ahead: We expect 2014 to be another active year for the AuthorAID blog. In particular, we hope to keep increasing the proportion of guest posts, as part of making AuthorAID more and more international.
If you might like to submit a guest post, please contact me at bgastel@inasp.info. Likewise, please contact me if there’s a topic that you’d like a post to discuss.
Wishing you a happy, healthy, productive 2014—
Barbara
