AuthorAID Guest Posts: A Call for Wider Participation
Greetings again. I hope that all is going well for you.
From time to time, the AuthorAID blog includes guest posts. Some of the guest posts report on research-writing workshops supported by AuthorAID grants. Some describe conference-attendance experiences. Others discuss other aspects of research communication.
Members of the AuthorAID community have much to share, and we would welcome guest posts from more people. Thus, I’ve now updated the guidelines for guest posts and added them to the AuthorAID Resource Library.
If you might like to submit a guest post, here are some points to remember:
-
Please first consult me (Barbara Gastel, at bgastel@cvm.tamu.edu). Doing so can help ensure that the post is suitable.
-
Submit a post about 200 to 250 words long. For readability, keep paragraphs fairly short. Consider including bulleted lists.
-
Please include your name, job title, and affiliation. You may also say a few words about your work. The information will be used to prepare an introductory note.
-
Feel free to include an image, such as a photo or logo. In choosing images, keep in mind that a small version will appear.
-
Please note that posts will be edited. If substantial editing is done, you’ll receive the edited version to review.
We want the AuthorAID blog to include many voices. Therefore we generally won’t accept more than two posts per year from any one person. People wanting to share more can do so via the AuthorAID e-mail discussion list or via their own blogs.
Looking forward to more guest posts!
Barbara
