Resource of the Week #93: Some Resources from the Esteve Foundation
Hello again. This week I learned of a new resource on avoiding conflicts of interest in scientific publication. In reading about the provider of this resource, I also became aware of some other resources.
The new resource, which is from the Esteve Foundation, is titled Competing Interests in Biomedical Publications: Main Guidelines and Selected Articles. The resource is a collection of materials on the topic.
The resource contains
- guidelines from several prominent groups (such as the Committee on Publication Ethics, the Council of Science Editors, the European Association of Science Editors, and the World Association of Medical Editors)
- copies of 15 journal articles on the topic
Almost all of this resource is openly available online.
I learned that the Esteve Foundation is in Barcelona, Spain, and has websites in Catalan, English, and Spanish. The main goal of the foundation is to foster progress in pharmacotherapy. One way that it does so is by promoting effective scientific communication.
Other resources from this foundation include extensive guides, in Spanish, on writing journal articles and giving oral presentations and poster presentations. The foundation also gives training seminars on these topics and related topics.
Until the next post—
