Resource of the Week #4: The INASP Newsletter

By Barbara Gastel | May. 06, 2011

Hello! This week I learned that a new issue of the INASP Newsletter had just been published. The theme of this issue is AuthorAID!

As you may recall, INASP is the International Network for the Availability of Scientific Publications. One of its projects is AuthorAID.

The new issue of the INASP Newsletter contains articles on several aspects of AuthorAID. Among the articles are

  • a brief history and update on AuthorAID
  • an article on AuthorAID scientific-writing workshops
  • an article on AuthorAID train-the-trainer workshops
  • an interview with AuthorAID graduate assistant Bernard Appiah
  • a case study of a scientist’s experience as an AuthorAID mentor

If you wish to learn more about AuthorAID, I suggest looking at this newsletter issue.

And if you wish to learn more about other aspects of INASP (and more about subjects that INASP is involved with), I suggest looking at other issues of the INASP Newsletter.

In all, 10 issues of the INASP Newsletter are available online. Main themes of issues have included open access, the Journals Online Project, and PERii: Programme for the Enhancement of Research Information.

Hoping that some of you will find this resource of interest— Barbara
