Resource of the Week #12: Presentations from the Intensive Course
Hello again! This week’s Resource of the Week is again a set of resources. It consists of the main presentations from the 2011 Texas A&M University Intensive Course in Research Writing.
As planned, this course began Monday (June 27). It continues 3 weeks (through July 15). After each day’s session, I’m adding to the AuthorAID Resource Library my PowerPoint presentation for the day.
You can access the presentations at http://www.authoraid.info/resource-library/powerpoints-2011-intensive-course/folder_contents. Day by day, you can view the presentations and watch the collection grow.
Those of you who have attended AuthorAID workshops may find much of the content familiar. However, because the intensive course is longer and has fewer attendees, it includes more class participation, much more homework, and more feedback on work.
I won’t be posting a presentation next Monday (July 4). July 4 is the US holiday Independence Day, and so the university will be closed and the course will not meet.
I hope the course attendees will enjoy being here on Independence Day. They’ve been working hard, and I think they’ll be ready to get some rest (and maybe get ahead on homework for the course).
Until the next post— Barbara
