Resource of the Week #47: In Spanish and in English

Hello again. Many users of AuthorAID have Spanish or English as a main language. Recently I learned that a highly regarded resource is now in both languages. I also heard of a resource helpful in translating between these languages.

This week a European colleague noted that the EQUATOR Network website is now available in Spanish. EQUATOR stands for Enhancing the QUAlity and Transparency Of health Research. In the words of the website:

The EQUATOR Network is an international initiative that seeks to improve reliability and value of medical research literature by promoting transparent and accurate reporting of research studies.

The other resource was mentioned by AuthorAID graduate assistant Alejandra (Alex) Arreola-Triana, whose work includes Spanish translations for AuthorAID.

Alex mentioned a page that is very helpful in translating Spanish text into English and English text into Spanish. The page says it uses 3 dictionaries and 3 translators.

The page is part of the website SpanishDict, which is designed largely to help users of English learn Spanish.
