Resource of the Week #61: Poster Presentations—An Evaluation Form and an Advice Source

By Barbara Gastel | Jun. 09, 2012

Hello again. A few days ago I received e-mail from Dr. Fazal Ghani, whom I recently met while doing AuthorAID work in Pakistan.

Dr. Ghani attached a form for evaluating poster presentations. “If you like,” Dr. Ghani wrote, “kindly upload it on the AuthorAID/INASP website so that others considering it useful may use it and give us feedback for its further development.”

The poster-evaluation form from Dr. Ghani now appears in the AuthorAID Resource Library. Feel free to use it to evaluate others’ poster presentations. It can also aid in evaluating drafts of one's own posters.

If you have feedback about the form, please send it to Dr. Ghani. His e-mail address appears at the bottom of the form.

Other poster-evaluation forms also are available online; Web searching will reveal some. In evaluating poster presentations, perhaps consider using some ideas from Dr. Ghani’s form and some ideas from other forms.

What if you want to prepare posters that will be favorably evaluated? I recommend the website Designing Conference Posters, in which Dr. Colin Purrington gives extensive advice on this subject.

Thank you, Dr. Ghani and Dr. Purrington!

Until the next post—

Barbara
