Call for Blog Posts for Upcoming Awareness Days!
This is a call to Rising Scholars members to consider submitting a blog post to highlight upcoming global awareness days.
Please refer to the submission guidelines before writing your post. Do check out some previous awareness day blog posts written by Rising Scholars members:
- International Day of Women and Girls in Science
- Reflections of World Breastfeeding Week
- World Bee Day
- World Water Day
The upcoming days in December and January are:
- 1st December: World Aids Day (2025's theme is 'Overcoming disruption, transforming the AIDS response')
- 3rd December: International Day of Persons with Disabilities (2025's theme is 'Fostering disability-inclusive societies for advancing social progress')
- 5th December: World Soil Day (2025's theme is 'Healthy Soils for Healthy Cities')
- 18th December: International Migrants Day
- 24th January: International Day of Education (2026 theme to be announced)
- 26th January: International Day of Clean Energy (2026 theme to be announced)
Maybe you have already been working on a short piece related to the first three dates, or perhaps this is inspiration to produce something new for the mid-December and end of January dates!
