We’re excited to launch the second cohort of the Digital Hub for Open Research in East Africa, a hub centred around a learning programme designed to support researchers in Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, and Rwanda who want to make their work more collaborative, inclusive, and impactful through open research practices.

This programme offers five facilitated modules exploring the power of open research to address development challenges:

  • Module 1: Introduction to Open Research for Development Impact
  • Module 2: Introduction to Gender Responsive Research and Open Data
  • Module 3: Open Research Design for Citizen Engagement
  • Module 4: Using Open Research Tools and Platforms for Enhanced Collaboration
  • Module 5: Communicating Research and Achieving Impact through Open Approaches

Participants can choose which modules they want to focus on, or complete the entire programme to earn a special certificate of achievement.
Each module is available on the Digital Hub Moodle space, with added learning support including live webinars, peer discussions in WhatsApp, and optional drop-in Q&A sessions. Module 1 launches on the 22nd of July!
