A Survey, Some Tips, and a Glimpse
Greetings again. I hope you had a good week.
As you may know, we’re always trying to make AuthorAID more helpful. Your feedback is important to us in doing so.
Therefore we’ve now posted a newly prepared survey. We very much hope you’ll complete it. The survey is short, and, as it states, respondents can apply for a chance to win a prize.
If you’ve registered at our website, you’ll receive from Stuart Church (who works with AuthorAID) an e-mail message encouraging you to complete the survey. You can already access the survey, though, at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/authoraid2011.
Whether or not you’ve registered for the website, I suggest completing the survey now. Thanks in advance for your responses!

Last week I said I hoped to provide more tips this week from Write an Effective Grant Application: A Guide for Researchers and Scholars. Here are 2 tips:
- Because reviewers of proposals are very busy, be sure to write each proposal in a way that is quick to understand.
- Be aware that the budget is a central part of a grant proposal. Relate it closely to the rest of the proposal. Justify every item in it.
I hope some of you will find these tips helpful.

By the way, I’m writing this blog post in Mumbai, India, where I just finished doing some work. The photo with this post shows a glimpse of the beach near my hotel.
Wishing you an excellent week— Barbara
