Are you looking for an opportunity to contribute to the development of AuthorAID, gain experience working on an international project, and support thousands of researchers around the world?

We are now looking for community members to join the Stewards team as ‘foundational’ level Stewards in 2023/2024.

As a foundational-level Steward, you will contribute experience and expertise from your individual/country context to the project, and you will be invited to provide input and feedback on AuthorAID work, represent your region (and/or discipline), and take part in decision making on AuthorAID activities. You will be expected to join quarterly meetings and some other ad hoc meetings and take part in discussions via email and WhatsApp and other online platforms.

We hope this initiative will broaden the expertise of the team and increase the diversity of represented regions and disciplines. We are therefore particularly interested* in members who are based in the following regions and/or conduct research in the following thematic areas:
 
Regions
  • Latin America
  • South East Asia
  • Francophone Africa
  • Middle East or North Africa
Additionally, to represent our GPEKE partner countries:
  • Ethiopia
  • Uganda
Thematic areas we are particularly interested in:
  • SDG 1 – No Poverty
  • SDG 2 – Zero Hunger
  • SDG 4 – Quality Education (pre-higher education)
  • SDG 6 – Clean Water and Sanitation
  • SDG 7 – Affordable and Clean Energy
  • SDG 8 – Decent Work and Innovation
  • SDG 9 – Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure
  • SDG 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities
  • SDG 12 - Responsible Consumption and Production
  • SDG 14 – Life Below Water
  • SDG 15 – Life on Land
  • SDG 16 – Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions
(* Applications are very welcome from all nationalities and disciplines, but we will give priority to those in the above regions and areas which are not currently represented in our Steward team.)
