Resource of the Week #11: Spanish Version of the AuthorAID Website (Recurso de la Semana #11: Versión en español del sitio de AuthorAID)

Hello again! I’m delighted to announce a special Resource of the Week: the Spanish-language version of the AuthorAID website!

Work on our Spanish-language site has been under way for several months. This Wednesday the site became publicly available. You can access it by clicking on “Español” in the upper left corner of the English-language AuthorAID website.

Among items available on the Spanish-language site are the following:

• instructions in Spanish for joining the AuthorAID community and finding other researchers
• translations of recent blog posts
• the AuthorAID Resource Library (including resources in Spanish, English, and other languages)

We will continue adding materials to the site.

We also hope to start an AuthorAID e-mail discussion list in Spanish. For now, you can participate in Spanish-language discussions by going to the Noticias (News) section of the Spanish-language site and submitting comments on blog posts there.

Special thanks to graduate assistant Alejandra (“Alex”) E. Arreola Triana for translating materials for the website. Thanks also to our technology experts for the excellent arrangements.

We hope that many people will use the Spanish version of the AuthorAID website. And we hope eventually to have versions in more languages.

Recurso de la Semana #11: Versión en español del sitio de AuthorAID

¡Hola de nuevo! Me da mucho gusto anunciar un Recurso de la Semana especial: ¡La versión en español del sitio de AuthorAID!

Se ha estado trabajando en la versión en español del sitio durante varios meses. Desde el pasado miércoles el sitio está abierto al público. Pueden accesarlo dándo  click en “Español” en la esquina superior izquierda de la página principal de AuthorAID.

Entre los elementos disponibles en el sitio en español están los siguientes:

• instrucciones en español para unirse a la comunidad de AuthorAID y entrar en contacto con otros investigadores
• traducciones de entradas del blog recientes
• la Biblioteca de Recursos de AuthorAID (que incluye recursos en español, en inglés y en otros idiomas)

Continuaremos añadiendo material al sitio.

También esperamos abrir una lista de discusión de AuthorAID en español. Por ahora, pueden participar en discusiones en español yendo a la sección de Noticias (News) del sitio en español y dejar sus comentarios en las entradas del blog.

Un agradecimiento especial a la asistente de posgrado Alejandra (“Alex”) E. Arreola Triana por traducir el material del sitio. Gracias también a nuestros expertos en tecnología por su excelente trabajo.

Esperamos que mucha gente utilice la versión en español del sitio de AuthorAID. También esperamos tener versiones en otros idiomas.
