INASP announces latest workshop and travel grant recipients

INASP announces the 10 recipients of the AuthorAID workshop and travel grants. A total of five workshop grant recipients will receive an award of US$2500 to conduct research communication workshops at their own institution. The other five travel grant recipients will receive an award of up to US$1500 to attend conferences. These successful travel grant recipients are travelling to Canada, Tunisia, Sweden, Belgium and South Africa to attend conferences.

 

The AuthorAID travel grant recipients are:

 

  • Oudom Ham, Cambodia Coordinator at EarthRights International, Cambodia. Conference attending: 2017 Annual Conference of the Association for Asian Studies in Toronto, Canada.
     

  • Hiba Rahmet-Allah Ahmed, Lecturer at Faculty of Medicine, University of Khartoum, Sudan.  Conference attending: World Summit on Social Accountability - Annual Conference of The Network: Towards Unity for Health in Hammamet, Tunisia.
     

  • Eyob Alemayehu Gebreyohannes, Assistant Lecturer at the University of Gondar, Ethiopia. Conference attending: 6th FIP Pharmaceutical Sciences World Congress 2017 in Stockholm, Sweden.
     

  • Shéïtan SOSSOU, PhD student at University of Cheikh Anta Diop (UCAD), Senegal. Conference attending: XXXIIIèmes Journées du développement de l’Association Tiers Monde COLLOQUE Agricultures, ruralités et développement, Brussels, Belgium. 
     

  • Geraldine Kasisi Matolla, Lecturer at University of Eldoret, Kenya. Conference attending: World Aquaculture 2017, Cape Town, South Africa.

 

The AuthorAID workshop grant recipients are:

 

  • Thomas Amatey Tagoe, Chief Operations Officer at GhScientific, Ghana.  Workshop: Communicating Research to Policy Makers and Public Engagement.
     

  • Oyelami Funmilola, Director for Community Engagement and Mobilization, Blue Gate Public Health Promotion Initiative, Nigeria. Workshop:  Research methods.
     

  • Arnold Mindra, Research Administrator at Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST), Uganda. Workshop:  Communicating research to policymakers.
     

  • Dudu Kunene, Secretary General for the Swaziland Library and Information Association, Swaziland. Workshop:  How to write and publish a research paper.    
     

  • Dr. Mohammad Hamid Shirzad, President at Global Innovations and Collaboration Services Organization, Afghanistan. Workshop:  How to write and publish a research paper.
