Resource of the Week #60: More Resources Noted at the CSE Meeting
Hello again. As you may recall, my previous resource post featured a resource mentioned at the recent Council of Science Editors meeting. The current resource post features more resources that I learned about through the meeting.
At the meeting, a speaker noted that the publisher Wiley-Blackwell has many mobile apps for readers of journals. When I did some Web searching to find out more, I saw that this publisher also has online resources for authors.
One of these resources, titled “How to Get Published in Peer-Reviewed English-Language Journals”, might especially interest many AuthorAID members. This list of tips is available in English, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean.
At another session, a slide listed an article titled “Top 10 Tips for Responding to Reviewer and Editor Comments”. Although some advice in this article applies to only some journals, most of it is widely applicable. The article is available in English and Spanish.
In a question-and-answer period during a session, an audience member mentioned an online piece on publicizing one’s journal articles. Although this piece is from a specialized professional organization, much of it applies to authors in many fields.
Until the next post—
