A New Blog Year Begins

By Barbara Gastel | Apr. 10, 2016

Greetings again. I hope you’re doing well.

For me as a faculty member working internationally, it’s often the start of a new year. For example, the school year here in America begins in late summer. The calendar year here begins January 1. Chinese New Year falls in January or February. And I recently learned that Sri Lankan New Year occurs this month.

At AuthorAID, the program year begins in April. Thus, I’ve now begun a new year of the AuthorAID blog. I wrote my first AuthorAID blog post in 2007. Since 2008, I’ve been providing at least one post per week.

All AuthorAID blog posts appear on the AuthorAID website. Reading these posts can serve as almost a self-study course in research communication. The posts also serve as a partial history of AuthorAID.

Some posts, such as those about events, may be only of historical interest. But others can still be of use. Here are examples of posts that still might be helpful:

Looking ahead: To help the AuthorAID blog serve you, I’d appreciate your feedback. What kinds of topics do you like the blog to cover? What thoughts do you have about the style of the blog? Any other comments?

If you have such feedback (or “feed-forward”), please either post a comment below or write to me at bgastel@inasp.info. Many thanks!

Until the next post—

Barbara
