Biography:
Obiamaka Priscilla Linda Egbo, Ph.D, is a Professor of Finance, Banking and Economic Development. She was past Head of Department, Banking and Finance, University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus. She is an Economist and Financial analyst by profession. As a lecturer and researcher, she is neck deep in research, learning and documenting issues related to public financial management and economic growth in Nigeria. She has competency in budgeting, procurement, auditing, debt management and internally generated revenue, as it relates to transparency and accountability in governance. She has taught many undergraduate and postgraduate courses. She is a competent, efficient, and resourceful researcher with enviable research outputs. She serves a member in several university, faculty and departmental committee. She has extensive consulting experience in information and communication technology, program and project management & evaluation, policy research in the areas of curriculum development, technology & innovation. She is the Team Lead of Teaching Learning and Research Limited. She is the Advisory Board Secretary, Coal City University, Enugu. She is a Board Member of Berkley Science Magnet School Lagos and Julliard Academy, Lagos, Nigeria. She is also a Visiting Professor and a Member of the Advisory Board, African Development Institute of Research Methodology. Obiamaka is the Coordinator of Microfinance and Small Business Development Research Group, University of Nigeria, Nsukka. She is currently a PFM Specialist with USAID State2State Activity in Nigeria. She has consulted for USAID and USAID Markets Project in Nigeria with REMS Consult, DFID-SAVI, UNICEF, Open Government Partnership (OGP), Federal Ministry of Power, Enugu State Government, World Bank STEP B Project, Enugu State Ministry of Justice, Enugu State Ministry of Environment, Enugu State Ministry of Education, First Bank of Nigeria, among others. She is an ICT enthusiast and is also proficient in the use of information and communication technology (ICT) in business, teaching, research and learning. Her research interest is on Economics, Financial Management, Economic Growth and Development, International Trade and Finance, and Business Economics. She advocates for women and children in Nigeria through her work with non-governmental organizations. She was recognized in the United States as a Person with Extraordinary Ability in the field of education, where she worked during her sabbatical leave in 2017.
