- I am a Professor of Political Science at the University of North Texas I previously taught at Truman State University and at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. I grew up in the Netherlands, where I received a diploma in Journalism (from the School voor de Journalistiek in Utrecht) before continuing my studies in the US and earning earned my PhD at the Ohio State University. I specializes in foreign policy decision making, with a specific interest in development cooperation and small states, as well as the politics of international children’s rights (and especially intercountry adoption), women/gender and politics, and the sociology of the profession.
