This rescheduled NORHED Rising Scholars session offers a practical introduction to using Microsoft Excel for preparing, analysing, and visualising research data. Using real-world research datasets, participants will work through techniques for data preparation, statistical analysis, and effective visualisation that can be applied directly to their own research.
We'll practise:
- Prepare and transform research datasets using XLOOKUP, IF functions, and data coding techniques.
- Perform descriptive statistical and correlation analysis using the Excel Data Analysis ToolPak.
- Explore and summarise research data using PivotTables and PivotCharts.
- Create effective, publication-ready data visualisations from real-world research datasets.
