Advanced Data Analysis and Visualisation Using Excel
Most researchers use Microsoft Excel, but are you getting the most out of it for research data analysis and visualisation?
This hands-on session goes beyond the basics to explore practical Excel techniques for preparing and analysing research data, using statistical functions and tools, and turning your data into clear, meaningful visualisations. Using real-world research datasets, you will learn techniques that you can apply directly to your own research.
Participants will learn how to:
- Prepare and transform research datasets using XLOOKUP, IF functions, and data coding techniques.
- Perform descriptive statistical and correlation analysis using the Excel Data Analysis ToolPak.
- Explore and summarise research data using PivotTables and PivotCharts.
- Create effective, publication-ready data visualisations from real-world research datasets.
