Webinar: Applying for Post-doctoral Fellowship

This session will focus on preparing and applying for Post-doctoral Fellowships. Participants will learn about funders' priorities and how best to position their research proposals, and how to frame the impact of the fellowships on their careers.

Facilitator:

Abass B. Isiaka (PhD) is a Leverhulme Trust Early Career Fellow in the School of Education and Lifelong Learning at the University of East Anglia. His project, Disabling by Design? Recasting the Future of Higher Education Policies in Africa develops a social history of disability inclusion policies in West African higher education since 1940. Abass worked as a Senior Research Associate at the Centre for Higher Education Research, Policy, Practice and Scholarship (CHERPPS), contributing to several widening participation projects that inform UEA’s Inclusive Education Policy. He is the founder and director of EvriCampus, a social enterprise working to improve accessibility and inclusion across campuses in Africa. He is interested in the sociology of inequalities in higher education, disability inclusion, policy research and evaluation, global education policy, and institutional ethnography.
