- Biography:
- Adebola Orimadegun is a professor of paediatrics and child health at Nigeria's University of Ibadan. He also works as an honorary consultant at the University College Hospital in Ibadan, Nigeria. He holds doctoral and master's degrees in epidemiology and clinical trials, respectively. I have over 15 years of experience working in paediatrics and child health. He is interested in paediatric infectious diseases, newborn health, child health epidemiology, and the design and conduct of intervention studies and trials. His goal is to increase awareness of the clinical course of childhood diseases, to improve care, and to contribute to a reduction in under-5 morbidity and mortality in Africa through research and policy advocacy. He currently teaches paediatrics and child health as well as research methods at the Institute of Child Health, University of Ibadan, Nigeria at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He was a Visiting Academic Fellow to the University of Cape Town in 2016.
