- Augustine Kumah is an accomplished health systems researcher, nurse, public health practitioner, and healthcare quality improvement professional. With several years of experience across public, private, academic, and non‑profit sectors, he combines clinical expertise with research literacy and strategic leadership in global health policy, patient safety, healthcare quality improvement, public health, and health & care systems strengthening. Augustine has vast experience in research methodology and data analytics. As an early-career researcher, Augustine has built a strong portfolio of scholarly work, with over 30 peer-reviewed publications in leading journals including BMJ, Elsevier, SAGE, and Springer. His work bridges the gaps between research, policy, and practice, demonstrating a unique ability to lead quality improvement initiatives while engaging communities and contributing to evidence-based healthcare transformation. Augustine’s research spans a wide array of public health themes, including health policy, adolescent sexual and reproductive health, health & care systems strengthening, and patient-centered care. His contributions include studies on healthcare access and quality in Ghana, women's lived experiences with cervical cancer, and structural barriers to adolescent health services. Beyond clinical and academic work, Augustine is deeply engaged in community-based public health advocacy.
