Biography:
Dr. Gabriel Walubita holds a PhD in Educational Psychology, a Master of Science in Clinical Neuropsychology, a Bachelor of Arts in Education (with a focus on Psychology), a Diploma in Emergent literacy and a Certificate in Psychosocial Counselling. With extensive academic and professional experience, Dr. Walubita is a passionate lecturer, facilitator, and speaker, recognized for his contributions both locally and internationally. He frequently delivers lectures and presentations on a range of topics, including special education, inclusive education, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), orphans and vulnerable children, and neuropsychological assessments. His scholarly work includes several published articles on neuropsychology, inclusive education, emergent literacy, technology-enhanced literacy tools, childhood executive functioning, and clinical child cognitive assessments in Zambia. In 2011, Dr. Walubita was awarded the University of Zambia Staff Development Fellowship under the prestigious NOMA Scholarship for his outstanding academic performance, enabling him to pursue a Master of Science in Clinical Neuropsychology at the University of Zambia’s School of Medicine. In 2016, he received the Leiden University Lolle Nauta PhD Scholarship to pursue a doctorate in Educational Psychology at the University of Zambia. Currently, Dr. Walubita serves as the Coordinator of the Special Needs Education Resource Centre at the University of Zambia and is the Inclusive and Special Education Coordinator, overseeing all inclusive education activities within the institution.
