Iam Benson Musinguzi, a medical microbiologist by profession. Iam interested in mycology more especially molecular mycology, Antifungal resistance, Fungal immunology and cross kingdom interactions.
Biography:
Benson Musinguzi is a medical chief laboratory Technician at Muni Univerisity, Arua. Prior to Joining Muni, he worked as lecturer of Microbiology and Immunology in the department of Microbiology, Faculty of Biomedical Sciences at King Ceasor University (KCU). He volunteered as an assistant lecturer in the department of Microbiology, faulty of medicine at Mbarara University of Science and Technology. He worked as Laboratory services advisor in several organizations like Infectious Diseases Institute housed in the College of health sciences at Makerere university and Baylor college of Medicine Uganda. He also worked with Uganda National Health Laboratory Services Department under Ministry of Health as a National trainer/mentor/auditor in Strengthening Laboratory Quality Management Systems Towards Accreditation (SLMTA) and Bio risk management (BRM). Benson is currently pursuing his PhD in Biomedical Sciences (Microbiology) at Makerere University. He obtained a master of science in Medical Microbiology and a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences from Mbarara University of Science and Technology. Additionally, he holds a post graduate diploma in health services management of Kabale university. He has used reputable Journals to publish and co-publish several research articles.
