- Biography:
- I have over 7 years professional experience in Animal Agriculture. Most of this span from research and field practice. A good portion of this experience has been in Animal Nutrition whereby i have traveled widely across the globe. This travels have exposed me to diverse practices of Agriculture in regions like India, Middle East, Africa and the USA . I have leveraged on being a global citizen to understand and appreciate cultural and ideological diversity. I can learn and unlearn things for the benefit of development. I intend to use the knowledge and skills acquired through my education and career to improve the livelihoods of many people across the globe. Am well skilled in formulating livestock diets using the modern software and applications, the use of current technology in Animal agriculture e.g Artificial Intelligence is part of my DNA. This has enabled me to revolutionize and increase efficiency in the sector. Am able to carry out proper diagnosis and treatment of livestock diseases hence improving Animal Health which results to increased productivity. Am very passionate in technologies involved in the mitigation of climate change. I have worked on this aspect in my research which involved measuring enteric methane emissions from cattle-Sub-Saharan Africa. My passion on the judicious use of Antimicrobials (Antimicrobial stewardship) enabled me to successfully co-ordinate the 2019 World Antimicrobial Awareness Week student activity in Nairobi, Kenya. I have received several awards notably; conference awards (e.g Lead speaker at International Conference on Animal Nutrition-India 2019), Graduate fellowship (ILRI) & University post-graduate scholarship among others Webmaster: https://www.feedscienceandtechnology.com Contact: kaggwax@gmail.com
