Resource of the Week #2: Author Resources from Taylor & Francis

Creado por Barbara Gastel | Abr. 22, 2011

Hello! This week, like last, our Resource of the Week is really a set of resources. It’s the Author Services website of Taylor & Francis, which publishes many journals.

From the left side of this website's homepage, you can access author guides. Some of the many topics of the guides are

  • choosing a journal,
  • seeking permission to reproduce material from elsewhere,
  • writing a cover letter to accompany a paper being submitted, and
  • checking proofs.

Among other items included are information on peer review and a final checklist to use before submitting a paper to a journal. In parts of some of the guides, journal editors provide advice.

Author guides also can be accessed from the upper right of the homepage. Here they are classified as “Before article acceptance” and “After article acceptance”.

From lower on the homepage, you can access 3 brief “How to guides”:

  • “How to get published”
  • “How to get your research read”
  • “How to referee”

These 3 guides can be downloaded in both English and Mandarin Chinese.

Hoping that many of you will find this resource useful— Barbara
