Biografía:

Dr Haseeb Irfanullah is a biologist-turned-development facilitator who often introduces himself as a research enthusiast. Over the last 22 years, Haseeb has worked for different international development organizations, academic institutions, donors, and the Government of Bangladesh in different capacities. Currently, an independent consultant, he is also involved with the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) as a visiting research fellow of its Center for Sustainable Development (CSD). Haseeb served as the executive editor for the Bangladesh Journal of Plant Taxonomy. He is currently an Associate Editor of the Learned Publishing of the ALPSP (Association of Learned and Professional Society Publishers). His interest in research communication involved him with INASP’s activities since 2008, particularly the BanglaJOL and the AuthorAID. In 2020, he became an INASP Associate. Haseeb has been involved in designing and facilitating mentoring programmes, workshops, training sessions, and dialogues for young & mid-career researchers and journal editors of Bangladesh to improve their understanding of journal publishing practices and standards. A Chef of The Scholarly Kitchen of the SSP (Society for Scholarly Publishing), Haseeb also writes thought pieces on scholarly systems and works with relevant agencies to improve Bangladesh’s and global research ecosystem. Haseeb has so far published 42 peer-reviewed journal articles on wide range of topics and has a PhD in aquatic ecology from the University of Liverpool, UK.
