Biografía:

Steven Wayling spent two decades with the Research Capability Strengthening programme area of the WHO Special Programme for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases (TDR). He supported capacity utilization within disease endemic countries by promoting research grants for institutional strengthening, through numerous activities aimed at human resource development and most recently through the promotion of regional and global research networks. He has published on numerous scientific subjects and most recently on capacity building and empowerment in developing countries and sits on the advisory and review committees of other foundations. He is the PI or co-PI on multi-million dollar grants from the Gates Foundation and Wellcome Trust, and was an invited speaker at over 20 international conferences.
